After School Enrichment (ASE) is an extracurricular program hosted by the GES PTO in collaboration with GES teachers, staff, and other approved instructors. The program is designed to offer our Gators additional opportunities for educational enrichment in a familiar and supportive environment.
During the fall session, classes will meet once a week, for 4 weeks, from 3:15pm-4:45pm at GES. Course offerings vary from session to session and typically span a wide range of interests -- including, but not limited to, art, dance, sports, fitness, book club, chess, gardening, and STEM classes. Our outstanding instructors go the extra mile to ensure our Gators have a fun and well-rounded experience at GES. The PTO pays ASE teachers $40 per session, for a total of $240 per session. Teachers will be paid on the last day of classes.
If you would like to teach a class, please fill out the registration form by Friday, September 9th. We are always looking for a variety of engaging topics, including outdoor activities and sports!
Community members and staff from other SCPS schools are welcome to teach a course. If an ASE teacher is not already a SCPS employee, they will need to go through a background check with the district office, but we will provide them with more information.
Fall classes will be held on the following Wednesdays:
10/19, 10/26, 11/2 and 11/9 with a make-up day on 11/16, if needed.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Amanda Leonard (leonardab@staffordschools.net) or Erin Altschuler (altschulerea@staffordschools.net).
Registration will open for students October 3rd-October 12th.
