Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome! I am happy to be returning for my third year at Winding Creek Elementary School as the School Social Worker. I help to address the social and emotional well-being of students in special education by collaborating with staff, parents, and students. I also teach social skills, counsel students, and provide community referrals as needed.
I earned an MSW from Baylor University in Texas, although I have been a resident in the Quantico/Stafford/Fredericksburg area for 10+ years. As a military child, I am familiar with the needs of military families and understand the transient lives of many of our families here at WCES. I have lived overseas and enjoy opportunities to explore new places whenever possible.
Earlier on, I earned a BS in Education from the University of Virginia and an MA in Intercultural Studies from Wheaton College. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, gardening, and traveling.
