Underclassmen Portrait InformationOnce we have pictures back - the proofs for you to look at to decide whether or not to retake OR the prints you already paid for - we will divide them among our teachers and send them home with your student! If your student travels first thing in the morning, we will keep them in the front office so they can collect them there at any time. If your student doesn't pick them up within a couple of weeks, we will send those proofs/paid for prints to the front office to be collected.
For retakes, we will do this on Friday, October 1. Juniors, sophomores, and freshmen who haven't gotten their photo taken or who want to get a retake need to see their assigned principal to set up a time during that day to get their picture taken. We will not call students down on this day.
Still Need to Get Your 2021 Yearbook? We have plenty to pass out and several left to sell. Students can pick up already purchased books from the front office or they can purchase their yearbook from Mrs. Riner (room 339). We are taking checks (made out to MVHS) or cash ($60) per book only; no card purchases for the 2021 book are accepted at this time.

Last Session Senior Portrait Dates for 2022!
2022 Senior Portraits - Last Call! We have one more session left for this year - September 28-29. Seniors can go to PrestigePortraits.com and "self-schedule" their appointments. Students can enter their unique code they got in their email from Lifetouch OR they can "search by city and state" and enter the city (Stafford) and state (Virginia). Once they find Mountain View High School, they will click on it and it will take them to the account to schedule an appointment. Photos will be taken at Mountain View High School in the auditorium. If these dates do not work, students can call Lifetouch and set up a time to go into their studio and get photos taken. The website to set up that appointment is PrestigePortraits.com/studio. Call Lifetouch's customer service hotline if you have any questions or concerns: 1-800-736-4753.
Seniors interested in sending in portraits from outside studios may do so. Portraits must come in as a digital file either on a CD or as an attachement through email. Images must be a JPEG with at least 300 DPI for quality printing in the yearbook. Portraits must have a blue background with a draping (female) or a tux drape (male) to be used. Portraits can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. All outside portraits are due by Friday, December 3, 2021.
Pose Selection for Seniors
All seniors have the option to go into their Lifetouch portal and choose the formal pose they want to appear in the yearbook. This year, the last day for seniors to select their yearbook pose is November 5, 2021. Please note, the selection should be the draped photo with a blue background. If that is not selected, the yearbook staff reserves the right to change it to a blue background, draped photo. Lifetouch portal login information is individual - students should have that info in an email from them. If not, you can call their Customer Care Service at 800-736-4775.
Hjeshare.com is up and running!
You can submit photos for possible inclusion in the yearbook by going to the Herff Jones eShare website here and using our school code: maroonandorange to upload photos of your Wildcat student(s)! We're going to feature a mix of photos from last and this year, and we would love to see what you have. Some ideas we need are photos of students with school spirit, school friends, seniors at work at their jobs, Pets of the Pride, student hobbies, student trends (fashion, music, dances, etc.), being creative, and students learning and growing!
