    (!) All Cadets Must Pay Their Activity Fee

    Cadets must pay their Activity Fee before being allowed to participate in the Military Ball on Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 5:30 PM-11:00 PM at our school.

    Cadets may pay their activity fee anytime before the Military Ball.  The Cadet Activity Fee is $100.00 and includes a ticket to the military ball, JRTOC activity and field trip subsidy, JROTC ball cap, and initial uniform alterations).

    The Cadet Activity fee may be paid online or in person to Colonel Bacon or Master Sergeant Mendoza in the JROTC Office, Room 534.

    Military Ball tickets will not be sold at the door of the event.


    AFJROTC Military Ball 2017

    Middle school students and adults over 20 are not allowed to attend the dance.

    Proper attire and photo identification are required at the door. Our high school students must present their school identification card.

    Cadets do not have to pay for tickets if they have paid their Cadet Activity Fee.  Any cadet who has not paid the Cadet Activity Fee, as well as all guests, must pre-purchase a Military Ball ticket for $20.00.  Payments may be made to Colonel Bacon or Master Sergeant Mendoza in the JROTC Office, Room 534.

     

    Military Ball Code of Conduct
     

    1. North Stafford High School policy states that all guests must be under the age of 21 and that middle school students may not attend.  All North Stafford students and their guests must complete the Military Ball Questionnaire, located below, and are required to abide by all school rules and terms of the contract.  Anyone exhibiting disruptive behavior will be removed from the dance, parents/guardians will be notified, and no refunds will be given.  Please note:  Prospective guests not attending high school will be approved to attend the Military Ball on an individual basis.  
    2. Once entering the Military Ball for check-in and inspection, you must remain in the building until after the formal dinner portion of the ball. Be sure you have everything you need before entering the ball because you will not be allowed to go to your car and retrieve them once you have entered the Military Ball.
    3. After the formal dinner or after the dance when you are ready to leave for the evening, please make sure that you have all uniform, jackets, wraps, and any other personal items prior to departure.  
    4. When leaving, you must leave North Stafford High School property and may not return.  No loitering is allowed in the parking lot.  You must leave the Military Ball with the person that you accompanied.
    5. Students who do not drive themselves to the Military Ball must be picked up no later than 15 minutes after the end of the Military Ball.  Students may be denied to attend future JROTC extracurricular events if their ride is late.
    6. Any person suspended or expelled from Stafford County School District or any other school district may NOT attend a dance or any other school function.
    7. Dress requirements may be found listed below or listen to the daily announcements for details.  The dress requirements will be enforced at the door.  When in doubt, ask.
    8. Students who dance in an inappropriate, lewd and lascivious manner such as “freaking” or “grinding” or ANY OTHER inappropriate way will be expelled from the dance. They will not receive a refund of the admission fee, and they will be barred from participation in any other JROTC extracurricular activity for the remainder of the academic year. Rules for inappropriate dancing include, but are not limited to:
      1. No straddling legs with partner
      2. No crotch-to-crotch or crotch-to-buttocks
      3. No touching of breasts, buttocks, or genitals
      4. No “moshing”
      5. No hands on floor
      6. No multiple student freak dancing

    Inappropriate dancing is up to the discretion of the chaperones and will not be debated!  Parents will be notified if students have been asked to leave the dance.

    1. For safety reasons, dancers need to avoid excessive crowding together in the center of the dance floor.
    2. Please do not leave valuables unattended.
    3. Students are to remember that the Stafford County Schools Student Code of Conduct applies to all participants at any after school function, including dances.  Failure to comply with the rules may result in the potential loss of after-school activities and events.

     

    Semi-Formal Dress Code for the AFJROTC Military Ball
     

    Dress standards for Cadet:

    • Service Dress Uniform for all Cadre Cadets.  Jackets must be worn and buttoned until the dance begins.  Jackets and ties may be removed when the dance begins.  Shirts must remain on, buttoned and tucked in for entire dance.
    • Duty Uniform with Ties and Windbreaker for Basic Cadets.  Jackets must be worn and zipped up until the dance begins.  Jackets and ties may be removed when the dance begins.  Shirts must remain on, buttoned and tucked in for entire dance
    • All head coverings are to be removed when entering NSHS and remain off at the dance.

     

    Dress standards for young male guests:

    • Dress shirt, dress pants, and tie
    • Shirt must remain on and tucked in for entire dance.
    • All head coverings are to be removed when entering NSHS and remain off at the dance.

     

    Dress standards for young female cadets or guests:

    • The neckline of your dress must not plunge below the bottom of your bra line.
    • Backs may not be lower than the natural waistline.
    • Dresses must be no shorter than fingertip length.
    • Full midriffs must be covered.
    • No see-through material which exposes thighs, excessive cleavage, or midriff.
    • Slits may not be higher than fingertip length.
