My name is Taylor Farris and this is my second year here at Garrisonville Elementary School and also my second year in first grade! I came to GES from Anthony Burns Elementary School which was my home fort 10 years. I taught 2 years of kindergarten, I was a first grade paraprofessional, I worked in the office as the office assistant, and I was a short and long-term substitute. I am a Stafford County Public Schools graduate! I went to Hampton Oaks Elementary, H.H. Poole Middle School, and North Stafford High School. I still live in Stafford County, just about 1 mile from my parents. I just got married this past December and I couldn’t be happier!
My passion has always been teaching and I had wanted to be a teacher ever since I was a little girl. I went to many years of school, so when I was finally done it was truly a dream come true! I have my Associate’s Degree from Norther Virginia Community College in Teacher Education, my Bachelor’s degree from George Mason University in Visual Arts with a concentration in Photography and a minor in education, and I have my Master’s Degree from the University of Mary Washington in Education.
I love doing calligraphy and photography in my spare time, TJ Maxx is my third home, and I love my family and friends more than words can say! I am looking forward to an absolutely fabulous year with all of our First Gators! We are a team!! Thank you so much for all that you do to make my job a true work of heart!!
