- Rocky Run Elementary
- Welcome
-
Welcome to all of our new students including our large military connected student population. On this page are a variety of resources that would be important for anyone new to Rocky Run Elementary and to Stafford County Public Schools. There are also some resources that are specific to our military families.
If you are new to Rocky Run, I hope you find all you need on this website devoted to you. We are here to help make your transition to our school as easy and comfortable as possible. Counselors meet with all new students at the beginning of the year. Throughout the year, our Ambassadors will escort new students to meet the counselors and others in the building. Both programs have as their goals, a warm and inviting environment in which all students feel they are important and belong.
If you are a military family, please know that we have a strong commitment to supporting our military connected students. We have several programs throughout the year specifically for recognizing the sacrifices and contributions you make. In November we recognize our service members with a Wall of Heroes in our front hall. In April, we celebrate the Month of the Military Child and “Purple Up” on the national recognition day. Additionally, if you and your child are experiencing a deployment, please let us know - we do offer Deployment groups if we have enough students with that situation. I also have a military email list, through which I send information from Quantico and Ft. Belvoir with local activities and also from Military One Source. Please contact me if you would like to be added to the email list.
I, Allison Adams, am the school-based military student support point of contact and Sandra Osborn is the school division point of contact. The Military School Liaison Officer from Quantico is Ms. Penny Rowley. For your convenience, here is the link to the School Liaison Program.
Please let me know if there is anything you need. My email is adamsan@staffordschools.net and my phone is 540-286-1956.
