    The School Board created seven advisory committees via SCPS Policy 1110. The mission of these advisory groups is to compile data, analyze problems, summarize findings, and develop recommendations for the School Board.

    The committees meet throughout the school year (September-May), and submit their recommendations to the School Board in a year-end report in June. The seven committees are:

    • Capital Improvement Planning;
    • Career and Technical Education;
    • Fine and Performing Arts;
    • Gifted;
    • School Health;
    • Special Education; and
    • Technology.

    We welcome any Stafford County citizen (including students!) to participate. We encourage you to submit an application to the Clerk of the School Board at 31 Stafford Avenue, Stafford, Virginia 22554. Applications are accepted for consideration by the School Board throughout the year.

    Membership applications will be presented to the School Board for consideration and approval during a regular School Board meeting. To apply, please contact the Clerk of the School Board at schoolboardclerk@staffordschools.net.
