Current 8th grade students:
UPDATED: Stafford High School will be hosting their rising 9th grade student and parent orientation on Thursday, February 3, at Stafford High School. They have staggered times by students' last names to prevent overcrowding. Students with last names A-M may attend from 5:30-7:00 PM and students with last names N-Z may attend from 7:30-9:00. Important information regarding course selections, program offerings, sports, clubs, and high school expectations will be shared. Middle school counselors will be working with all 8th grade students over the next several weeks on selecting 9th grade courses. Please check the DSMS Counseling page for important upcoming information.
Families can learn more about Career and Technical Programs, Duel Enrollment, Governor's School, and the IB and STAT Programs THROUGH THIS LINK. Some of these pathways include Cybersecurity, Firefighting, Culinary Arts, Nuse Aide, and Trade and Industrial classes.

Rising 9th graders that wish to take Electricity, Carpentry, Masonry, or Graphic Imaging Technology must complete the Career and Technical Education Application. Applications are due to the counseling center by Feb. 25, 2022.
