At Rockhill we are so excited to have a culturally diverse group of students. Our English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) teachers individualize their lessons to meet students' English language development needs. ESOL teachers work directly with English Learners (ELs) to advance their English language development by building academic language and content understanding at the same time. ELs develop English language proficiency through engaging in reading and writing tasks and academic conversations with listening and speaking. Our ESOL teachers are often a cultural and language bridge for the EL students and their families. Each of our students contribute and enrich our school with their diverse cultures and languages. We are so proud of our EL Rockhill Raccoons!
