Katherine Buckman

  • Katherine Buckman has been a Stafford County Public School student since kindergarten. She attended Rockhill Elementary, A.G. Wright Middle, and, currently, Mountain View High School where she is pursuing the full International Baccalaureate® (IB) diploma.
     
    Katherine has a passion for public advocacy and has plans to create a career in law, business, and/or politics. She is a very active student and is proud to be the class president for the second year in a row. She also holds roles as the president and founder of the National English Honor Society, vice president of the Future Business Leaders of America, vice president of Amnesty International, and one of the junior leads of the Mountain View IB tutoring program. She is involved in Debate, Forensics, DECA, National Honor Society, and the National Science Honor Society. 
     
    Katherine played travel soccer for five years, and has tried many sports, including fencing, field hockey, tennis, swimming, golf, and track. In her spare time she enjoys sitting down with a good book, socializing with her friends, and spending time with her two younger sisters.

Maraki Solomon

  • Born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Maraki Solomon is an International Baccalaureate® (IB) student at Brooke Point High School. She is interested in studying architecture or astrophysics.

    In her free time, Maraki loves reading Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, or anime or cooking. She is currently watching One Piece with her two younger sisters. Her favorite food is lasagna and her favorite color is sage green.
