I teach all students kindergarten - fifth grade once a week for 45 minutes. Students will need an art shirt (oversized tee shirt or smock) and a sketchbook 40 pages or more with unlined blank paper. The sketchbook should be very close to 9 x 12". If it is much smaller or larger it becomes difficult when we are trying to work with one size. Sketchbooks can be purchased at a number of different stores: Michaels, AC Moore, Target, Walmart and Dollar Tree.

The Fine Arts Festival will be March 30th and 31st from 11am- 4pm at Brooke Point H.S. All students have been working very hard on their collaborative projects. As a school we have been learning about the Japanese- American artist Kusama who loves patterns and creates interesting spaces and rooms. I was able to see her work at the Hirshorn museum in D.C. a couple of years ago and thought it was awesome! If you would like to come join us at the Fine Arts Festival it is a free event filled with art, music and excitment. Our location will be on the lower level on Brooke Point High School. Feel free to wear polka-dots and take a picture next to our display of 800 Kusama inspired flowers :) I hope to see you and your family there!
