Mrs. Riemann

Hello Wolf Pack Artist!

My name is Ashley Riemann and this is my first year at Winding Creek Elementary.  While this is my first year in Stafford County Schools,  I have spent 3 years working as the Atelierista at a Reggio Emilia inspired school.  I believe that by fostering and nuturing a child's creative spirit, children are able to discover and explore art in unique and individual ways.  I firmly believe in allowing children to explore new mediums, encouraging self-expression, and allowing childeren to use their own creativity to create original masterpieces. I believe that art education helps develop innovative ideas and transforms a students educational journey.  I love working with young artists to create collaborative pieces of art, I find that working together to make a masterpiece helps to build a community of artists.

In my free time I love spending time with my family, I have a wonderful husband and three amazing children. My favorite mediums to work in are mixed media painting, printmaking and photography.  I enjoy hiking, beach vacations, cheering my children on at sporting events and giving back to the community.  I am currently the Secretary for Stafford Food Security Inc. and believe in working hard as a community to battle food insecurity in our community.  I am looking forward to working with your budding artist and it is going to be an amazing school year.
