I am looking forward to a wonderful year! This will be my 21st year teaching here at "The Creek" and during my time here, I have taught first, second, and fourth grade. Currently, I have the privilege of serving as Winding Creek's Literacy Specialist. I am originally from Huron, Ohio (right on Lake Erie) but have lived in Virginia since 1999. I attended Bowling Green State University for my undergraduate studies and earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I earned my master's degree in education with a Literacy Specialist endorsement from the Univeristy of Mary Washington. My husband and I both work for Stafford County Schools and are the proud parents of two children, both of whom attended WCES. Our daughter Helena is a freshman at Colonial Forge High School and our son Cameron is in 8th grade at Rodney Thompson Middle School. We also have 2 fur babies: Charlie (our 7 year old goldendoodle) and Squeaky (our 10 year old cat). In addition to everything I love about working with children and working here at WCES, my family and I also enjoy kayaking and spending time at the beach. We're also frequently found at the volleyball court cheering for Helena and at various long distance races cheering for Cameron.
