Athletics and Activities Code of Conduct

Dear Students, Parents, Sponsors, and Coaches,

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year. As we embark on a new season of athletics and activities across Stafford County Public Schools, we are reminded of the profound impact our extracurricular programs have on the growth and character of our students.

These programs are the heart of our school community, extending the classroom experience into the arenas of competition and performance. Whether on the field, the court, the stage, or within a student organization, our programs are designed to cultivate essential life skills—leadership, resilience, collaboration, and a dedication to excellence. We take immense pride in the commitment our student-athletes and participants demonstrate, consistently balancing academic responsibilities with the pursuit of their passions.

A successful season, however, is not defined solely by wins or accolades. It is built upon the collective partnership of our dedicated coaches, supportive families, school staff, and volunteers. While we all aspire to reach our highest potential in every contest, our true measure of success is the integrity, sportsmanship, and respect we show to our officials, our opponents, and to each other. Together, we foster an environment that honors fair play and character over all else.

Thank you for your continued dedication to our students and for the vital role you play in making SCPS athletics and activities a source of pride for our entire community. We look forward to a rewarding, spirited, and successful year ahead for every student, team, and activity in Stafford County.

Sincerely,
Greg Margheim
