Frequently Asked Questions:
|
Can my rising 9th grade student attend their new school next year? |
We are reviewing this request for feasibility. |
|
Will seniors be required to transfer to a new high school if their area is redistricted? |
If a senior is redistricted to the new high school, they will remain at their current school. For seniors redistricted between existing high schools (e.g., from Brooke Point to Stafford High School), they may choose to attend their newly assigned school or stay at their current school. For those that choose to stay at their current school, seniors would need to provide their own transportation to the current school. Transportation is provided to the redistricted school. |
| What sports will be offered at the new high school? | Hartwood High School (High School 6) will open with varsity sports in all areas except football. A decision regarding varsity football will be made later this spring. |
