  • Annual College Fair

    The Annual College Fair has returned to being in person this year. It is Wednesday, October 20th from 6:30-8:30 pm at Spotsylvania Towne Center. The event is free and open to all. Nearly 100 colleges and military recruiters are scheduled to attend. Please see your school email for information on how to pre-register, which is recommended but not required.

  • College Visits

    College Visit Alert!  Randolph College will be on site today October 18th. Virginia Wesleyan University visits on Tuesday, Virginia Commonwealth University on Wednesday, The University of Alabama on Thursday, and Richard Bland College on Friday. Visits are now 12:00 -1:00 pm.  If you have 1st or 2nd lunch and would like to visit, please contact Ms. Valerie Bryant in the counseling office for a pass to be sent to you.

  • VHSL Media Championship

    At the 2021 VHSL Media Championships this weekend, the Stafford High Publications' Department brought home top honors.  The Native Literary Arts Magazine and The Indian Legend Yearbook were each awarded First Class designation for last year's publications and The Smoke Signal school newspaper was given the top award of Trophy Class for their work last year.

You will need to contact Ms. Bryant in the counseling office if you have 3rd and 4th lunch to receive a pass to visit a college. Look for information in an email from Ms. Laponte.  Randolph Macon will be visiting on Thursday, October 14th and Marshall University will be visiting Friday, October 15th.

    Conditioning for the Wrestling team will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on October 5th, 13th, 14th ,18th ,19th and 27th.  Wrestling tryouts will be held on November 8th from 6:00-8:00 pm. Remember you must have a completed VHSL physical and signed Parent Covid Consent Form in order to participate.

  • Guidelines for Releasing Students to Emergency Contacts

    According to our school division, no student can be released to an emergency contact unless:
    1. The parent has notified the school that they are coming to get them, either by phone or note;
    2. The school has tried to contact the parents/guardians due to an emergency (e.g. child is sick ) and the parent/guardian is unreachable, then the emergency contacts would be called.
    The emergency contact cannot simply show up at the school and pick up a student.

  • Driver's Education Course Completion Cards and Provisional Driver's License

    Driver's education course completion cards (green) and provisional driver's licenses (PDLs) can be picked up in the Main Office.  You must schedule a pre-arranged pick-up at our high school on Mondays, between 10:00 AM-12:00 PM.  Please set up an appointment with Mrs. Dona Banks by sending an e-mail to banksdr@staffordschools.net or by calling (540) 371-7200.
