    Mission Statement:

          The mission of the A.G. Wright school counseling program is to provide all students access to a comprehensive counseling program in the areas of academic, personal/social and career development. The A. G. Wright counseling program aligns with both the Virginia State and the American School Counseling Association (ASCA) model which challenges and inspires all students to achieve their academic and personal potential to become responsible, contributing citizens in a global society.

    Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank

    Pantry Locator App

    The Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank has launched a pantry locator app called FredFoodVA, available for download for both Apple and Android devices.  The FredFoodVA App will give you the most up-to-date information about the locations of food pantries as well as other food assistance programs in our community, their hours of operation, and any updates about pantry hours, pop-up pantries, mobile pantry stops, closures, and so forth.

    You can also find the Fredericksburg Regioanal Food Bank online on their website.

  • Carol Carpenter

    The Director of Counseling at A.G.Wright Middle School and Counselor to Sixth Grade students. Mrs. Carpenter graduated from VA Tech with a degree in Human Services and earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling from VCU. She has been at AG Wright for almost 20 years, has 2 daughters and is also mom to two rescue pups from Louisiana. AGW students and staff are like her second family! 

    LaKetra Spivey

    Mrs Spivey is originally from North Carolina where she earned both her B.S. in Criminal Justice and an M.A. in School Counseling.  In addition, she obtained a M.S. in Marriage and Family Counseling from Walden University.  Although this is her first year at AGW, she has worked with students for the last seven years in various settings.  She brings her  passion, dedication, and understanding to work with each student as an individual.

    Denise Miller

    Ms. Miller earned a Master’s Degree in Education from VCU with a focus on School Counseling.  Ms. Miller and her Siberian Huskies love to go hiking in the mountains. Ms. Miller is a strong advocate for student resilience and wellness.

    Debera Phillips

    The Counseling Secretary/Registrar.  She is a friendly and welcoming anchor in our Counseling Center.  Mrs. Phillips is a mom to 4 Fauquier County graduates and 1 from Fayetteville, AR  She also has 2 furry Labrador Retriever children .
