The Virginia Department of Health’s School and Day Care Minimum Immunization Requirements outlines all immunizations required for student enrollment.

 Students entering 7th grade are required to receive the following vaccines after their 11th birthday:

• Tdap booster
• First dose of the Meningococcal Conjugate Vaccine
• HPV vaccine series (After reviewing educational materials approved by the Board of Health, the parent or guardian, at the parent's or guardian's sole discretion, may elect for the child not to receive the HPV vaccine.)

These vaccines may be obtained from your student’s healthcare provider, a local pharmacy or by appointment at the Stafford County Health Department, 1300 Courthouse Rd, Stafford, VA 22554, phone 540-659-3101. If students do not have the required vaccines on the first day of school, we are required to send them home from school until they are compliant with the Code of Virginia.
