Snacks:  The children will have a chance to have snacks in the afternoon, so please send a healthy snack every day with your child (e.g. crackers, fruit, veggies; no candy or desserts, please).  It's quite a long time between lunch and dismissal! :)  Please note that due to a new school-wide nut-free policy in all classrooms, I ask that you not send snacks containing peanuts or tree nuts. 

Examples of appropriate snacks:  Fruit, veggies with hummus or other dip, pretzels, crackers and cheese.

Students with sugary snacks (or items containing peanuts or tree nuts) may be asked to take them home and offered an alternative, as healthy eating is vitally important for optimal learning!  Thank you for your understanding and help with this!
