    The Stafford Social Studies Showcase is not affiliated with the National History Day competition, but provides an opportunity for students to practice their presentations before the district-level competition on March 4 at West Springfield High School.  Students will need to register for the Virginia History Day competition through the Virginia Museum of History and Culture by February 21.  For more information on the Virginia/National History Day competition, please visit the Virginia History Day website.

Awards

  • Medals will be awarded for school projects and National History Day projects at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.

     Plus the Stafford Museum and Cultural Center will award $250 prizes for the top local history projects at each level.

  • 8:00 am - Set up Exhibits in the Gym

    9:00 am - Doors Open to the Public.  

    9:30 am - Film Festival in Auditorium. 

    10:30 am - Student Performances in Auditorium

    12:30 pm - Awards in Auditorium

    1:00 pm - Showcase Ends.  Break Down Exhibits

    Light refreshments will be available.
