High School Summer Learning

For students who wish to earn a new credit towards high school graduation. Students may only take one course for new credit.

Dates

• Cohort 1: June 2 - July 10, 2026

• Cohort 2: June 16 - July 24, 2026

Location

Virtual Virginia (VVA) is a synchronous learning program that requires students to participate virtually a minimum of 5 hours a day.  

Registration

Students should access the Virtual Virginia website and register with their school counselor.

Registration for VVA courses began January 5, 2026. Note: Not all courses are offered during both cohorts. 

• Cohort 1: June 2 - July 10, 2026 - Deadline to Register: June 3, 2026
• Cohort 2: June 16 - July 24, 2026 - Deadline to Register: June 17, 2026

Tuition

$375 per new credit Virtual Virginia (VVA) course (no fee waivers are available, students may take one new credit course).

Payments for new credit courses will be collected online through the Virtual VA website.

Extended school year services are available to eligible students with disabilities and are determined by the IEP team. Contact your child's case manager for specific questions.

Available to invited students only, this integrated learning experience aims to acclimate students new to the American education system.

$100 fee due prior to the first day of class. Once a student is registered, they will receive a confirmation email that contains payment information.

Fee Reduction or Waiver

• Reduced lunch qualified students: 75% reduction (fee for course: $25); 
• Free lunch qualified students:  100% reduction  (fee for course: $0).
